I just signed myself up for a new service called BitStrips and so far I love it. So much so that I have decided to try and do a 5 times a week comic strip about Second Life. This first one is loosely based on a true story of when I met a newbie. Expect n00b to come into play more often in the strip along with people we all know.
The BitStrip service is a little low on current customization but i’m pretty sure that it will change a lot in the future…
Because somebody forgot that Friday was recording day (instead he thought it was Thursday)…(hint: It was not Yxes or myself…)
Podmafia Podcast will be off for this week.
It is very rare for me to do a blog entry on the Real Life, however recent times have prompted me to talk about the technology store Ebuyer and how it sucks for first time users looking to make a quick delivery!
Now earlier in the week one of my uncles came to my house (he only lives down the road) and was looking to get an iPod for my aunt’s birthday (the birthday has not happened yet, but they don’t have an internet connection so posting this blog entry is a safe bet…). The iPod he was looking for was a pink one. Luckily Apple introduced a pink version a couple of weeks back so it was all good.
We decided to try out ebuyer. I had heard about this site before and I thought it was a trusted source for a quick order. The delivery was set to arrive on Thursday and I thought, cool we can get the iPod stuffed with songs for a week and everything will be fine.
On wednesday we get a phone call asking about added Identity Verification. So I sent over ID proving who I was over email and it took about 17 hours for a reply saying UTILITY BILL UNVERIFIED. So I send another one straight away and after 24 hours there was no reply. I cancelled the order over the phone and thought to myself that this is not a good way to do delivery. It is not really user friendly for a first time user who wants to get something Quick and Easy.
Maybe I was just an unlucky one. But today I got the nano from a store and that was no hassle at all. The only problem I had (this is just stuff that bugs me…) was them saying that you need to charge the iPod up when you get home blah blah blah… in my personal experience of using 4 iPods… NEVER has one had no battery life. It was not different this time.

Alot of them went podfade (that means the podcast just shut down and died). Others continue to live on….for now. Each week I record a show with these awesome co-hosts is amazing and makes me feel all happy and stuff.
Building with Warf
This is the first ever video podcast that I have ever done! Building with Warf takes a unusual change to the way I do podcasts. I am for once teaching people something. In this podcast I teach people how to build in Second Life so that hopefully they can avoid the mishaps that many builds can be produced in Second Life and maybe, one day, people can start making a living in Second Life from skills they have learnt from me.

The Weekly Warf Show
A short lived attempt at a podcast about my virtual life. I quickly figured out that The Weekly Warf show would not work because who wants to know about some guy’s life. One thing that I have learnt about Second Life podcasts is that most of them are hard to do without a gang to do the show like Podmafia or Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara.
Psichonico’s Daily Podcast
This podcast was supposedly daily but it was more of a twice a week thing. A lot of it was a sort of secret parody of Daily Source Code (and eventually The Gomem Show). Most music-casters listen to the music and choose something good. I mostly would choose something randomly and very rarely would stop the madness. It was a bit like The Weekly Warf show where I quickly lost the will to do it but Gomem and his “podfade” comments somehow spurred me to do about 30 more episodes than I wanted to.

Inside the Boxes
This is the first ever podcast that I ever decided to do. It started up in March 2006 when I first got a microphone and wanted to do a podcast. The show was based on the TV game show Deal or no Deal. Sadly the community I was creating it to had no clue about what podcasting is or was. So such a podcast was bound to tank.
The Ten Cast
The Ten Cast was a weekly technology news podcast in which I discuss the latest techology news in the world. Since I am a big geek I love technology and all the stuff that it creates. You can still listen to the show at PodcasterNews.com if you want to listen to the show.

iPodjacker Episode Seven - Stuart Warf
Crap Mariner launched a new podcast called iPodjacker. It was launched when SL5B came around and he wanted a chance to talk to podcasters who have been involved with Second Life. I was glad to participate in this podcast. The series also features interviews with people like Wiz Nordberg, Rich Desoto and other great SL talents.
Each week I get together with my friends Gomem Desoto and Yxes Delacroix and we just spend about 1 hour talking about the crazy virtual world that we all live in, Second Life.
However…I’m starting to want to give the Podmafia fans more than just 1 show a week. In December we did a Live talkshoe episode of The Podmafia Podcast. I would like to do more live episodes and so I am thinking of bringing a fortnightly podcast called Podmafia Live! which wouldn’t necessarily include Gomem and Yxes on each show (since they aren’t alway’s available) but feature people who listen to the show.
Is this a good idea? bad idea?
Also I am working on another video podcast…which would be monthly called PodmafiaTV which would just be a little video highlight reel where all the places that we have mentioned…or some of them just get shown around visually.
Again… Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
… I am now expecting Sougent to write an essay on this LOL.
Last night was the live taping of Tonight Live. Usually we have a few people heckling Yxes/Paisley however it was a little different. The main topic wasn’t about the guests and not about an audience member. But was about someone who wasn’t there.
Paisley kicked off the chat i think by saying that Crap was in the audience but was hiding in an alt….

Earlier this week I had an IM from Yxes to visit some sim called Christmas. Me being who I am gladly accepted to travel to this sim. Yxes told me that this sim was sculpted to be like real North Pole where Santa lives!

That crane puts the presents in to the sleigh…However with a little bit of hacking around i’m sure I can get it to give me the presents instead! 
We all know that Second Life’s physics engine is not the best thing in the world. But it can produce some of the funnest enviroments (in MY opinion) in Second Life.
For the first in the series of Physics Phun, i bring you the 193 tower prim (consisting of 9 4X4X0.4 prims per layer) and simply turning Phyics ON!

After the Die In at Los Arboles and checking out that bridge i decided to go check out the SLCC booths that Yxes was talking about earlier on the recording for the Podmafia Podcast (if you want to know more download it later this week ). This is going to be a great solution for me because I will be able to be there…erm….without being there. Thanks Banana for setting this up.

For those of you who have not heard, The Podmafia Podcast returned to the podosphere in a big way earlier this week. Gomem and myself returned with the podcast known as The Podmafia Podcast. Along with the rebirth of the official podcast of the Podmafia, we have also got a new co host, and in my opinion she is a great podcaster.
She is the one and only Yxes Delacroix. So go check out episode number 9 at http://www.podmafia.com/blog . Also i will start cross posting the podcast over to this blog as well because it will get more publicity.
