General Observation #1
As much as I think the snapshots on the login screen on the SL viewer is cool. I really think it’s missing something important.
I know, a SLurl to the location that is being shown on the screen, that would be a very nice addition to the login screen. Actually I also think while i’m on this topic, I need to know, when the hell is Linden Lab going to return the old latest blog posts on the front of the view as well.
The obvious reason for having that RSS ticker on the login screen is because quite frankly, I think a lot of the residents just don’t understand RSS. Sure we’ve got a fair bit of the community that understand RSS, at least I think they do, but alot of them probably don’t know about the blog and won’t have the slightest clue as to when a change is about to happen in SL.
Agreed on the SLURL for the locations. I @torley-ed it on Twitter before.

I think about that every time I see a great login screen. I know the shots are random, but even if they had the sim name, so we could hit it up in search, that would be helpful, and only require the minimum effort in modifying the pics.

couldn’t agree more on the RSS thing, i get so tired of people acting surprised about rolling restarts or something or what the status of an outage is and they never even think to check the status blog. IT’S THERE SO YOU ALL HAVE A CENTRAL PLACE TO GO TO, DIMWITS!!
