PodmafiaTV Set

December 31, 2006 · Filed Under Blogs · 1 Comment

I have been working on the set for the new video Podcast PodmafiaTV. I am standing with my Co-Host Gomem Desoto on the set that i have built. I think this looks good so far and i am excited to be doing this. For other Machinima based Second Life shows i recommend you check out Britney Mason’s Show at http://britneymasonshow.btpodshow.com/

While the grid was down today i was just browsing through the internet and making a few blog entries here and there. Then i checked my referrers and noticed a Second Life orientated website i have never heard of or even seen.

This website was called SLQuery. I have been checking it out and the site claims to be a Dedicated Search Engine for Second Life. It seems to be a good idea and from what i can tell users will sign up in-world and then submit stories and blogs to this search engine and then others can look for this content.

Its Official…

Podcamp Comes to Second Life

December 29, 2006 · Filed Under Blogs · Comment

For quite a while now there has been an event (mostly in the USA only so far) where Podcasters can goto an event lasting usually 2 days and learn new skills and techniques to improve their shows. This event is called Podcamp. (http://podcamp.pbwiki.com/).

Yesterday at the Podcasters Meetup when Uncle Seth was playing it was announced that there will be a Podcamp event in Second Life. I think this is a brilliant idea as it gives people who are unable to attend such an event due to their location but still can attend through the magic of Second Life. Right now they are in the preperation stages for where its located, who will be there etc. You can visit the website for more information at (http://podcampsl.com/)

Grid is down

The Second Life grid has been down for a long time now, not too sure how long though. But it appears that there are asset issues through an upgrade. Right now the Lindens are working on the issues but since its been 7-8 hours since the grid went down.

Financial Status in Second Life

December 23, 2006 · Filed Under Blogs · 1 Comment

A Huge aspect in Second Life for anyone, including myself, is the financial and economical stability of Second Life.

I’ve noticed that since May (When i first joined Second Life) that the cost of 1 US$ has deflated from roughly L$350 to L$250. Therefore Linden Dollars are becoming more and more valuable since they are worth more.

However Prices for items in Second Life tend to not change with this change. Does this mean that shop owners are finding that their products are becoming more valuable or are they not noticing these changes. Do they want more money in Second Life?

I have never really thought about the changes much myself and i have only started to notice it myself after doing up a little research.
